Flyleaf Biography
Like a more intense Paramore, Texas four-piece Artist is a hard-hitting alt-rock band with emo/screamo elements, fronted by petite powerhouse Lacey Mosley, whose voice can swoop from pixie to banshee within a few measures. That the band members are all devout Christians seems to have little influence on the overall tone of the music or lyrics, but provides an entrée for Christian fans who might not otherwise gravitate toward their sound. The band's 2005 EP caused a stir in both the nu-metal and punk scenes, and their follow-up full-length, released shortly after, fulfilled the promise.
